Ben Mcdevitt Ex Police Officer Appointed As Chief Of Australia S Anti Doping Agency

McDevitt held high positions in the federal police and the Australian Crime Commission over a 28-year career in law enforcement, reports Xinhua.

During the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA)’s ongoing anti-doping investigations into the National Rugby League (NRL) and Australian Football League (AFL), Australian federal government provided funding for ASADA to engage Federal Court Judge Garry Downes to provide assistance.

The investigation into supplements programmes in the leagues has already resulted in a $1.79 million fine for AFL club Essendon and a $895,000 fine for NRL club Cronulla.
